• Note: 'Included' means it has the same IR codes as another supported decoder. If your decoder is not supported then you could try getting it swapped which isn't usually a problem although you might incur a small fee. There is a discussion on IR codes in the NZ-oztivo forum that might be of interest. If your wanting to use a VCR good luck, first step is to check oztivo and google for any info on the model and if it is supported by Tivo and ideally if someone has made an IR code file already. Else you'll have to make your own. The current NZ emulator supports the standard oztivo IR slice (the legacy emulator has nothing).

Tivo Requirements:
Tivo Hardware: US Tivo Series1
Networking gear: Turbonet Network Card or Serial Cable
Storage: Hard Disk
Tivo cables: Composite RCA leads/S-Video Leads(Output leads included with shipments from eksys), Network Cable (if networking), VCR Power cable

Software Requirements:
Current Software Downloads: The iso disk images from nzTiVo are available from the nzTiVo image repository here. These are quite complete and based on the ozTiVo 1.5 work, the installation is menu driven for most configurations.

OLD Software Downloads: The iso disk image from OzTivo (~87mb download). Release 1.4 is available from Here. Release 1.4 is available from Here. They are very similar with respect to this documentation, so release 1.5 is reccommended. It is always reccommended that you look at the KnownIssuesCurrentImageRelease page. The ISO's are currently named ozTiVo_installer_HDRX12-xxxxxxxx.iso (for Philips) or ozTiVo_installer_SVR2000-xxxxxxxx.iso (for Sony). Do not bother with the bigger "multi" ISO file - it contains several US images and the Philips Image alone is fine unless you have a burning desire for one over another. The xxxxxxxx represent the release date of the current release - at present this is 20051128 (28-Nov-2005), but choose latest available. With the 1.4 image you can use a US image with the UK Thomson Tivo.
