Wikis are information sites that everyone can contribute to, which keeps things current and correct, and reduces the strain on that would be if only one person had to maintain a whole site.
Adding a Page
The best way to add a page, is to create a link, which doesn't exist yet, and the page gets created when the link is clicked on.
Go to the relevant page to which you want to add a link to a new page.
E.G. Go to Topics, Click on the 'Edit this Page' link at the bottom of the frame, type:
[[YourNewPageNameHere]] - Then a description.
Then click Save page. When you click on the new link, a new page is created and you can add your information onto it.
Formatting
While editing a new or existing page, you'll find that typical HTML formatting commands work like normal.
E.G <br> - Line break
<p> - Paragraph break
<u></u> - Underline
<i></i> - Italics
Other formatting:

''italics'' - Italic text.
* - Bullet Point (asterisk with a space to the right

Add Headings like this:

Type your text, add 4 or more headings and a Table of Contents appears automatically.
Or you can force a Table of Contents with less headings by typing the following anywhere on the page:

Note - I have not got FORCETOC to work yet...
During editing, if you want to use characters that mediawiki picks up as formatting you may have to use this to turn off formatting: <nowiki>anythinghere</nowiki>
